About the Role
Job Purpose
Assist the teacher to deliver the curriculum in a stimulating and safe learning environment to ensure all children can acquire learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supports in maintaining classroom routine.
Assist in the preparation of materials ensuring readiness for all activities.
Update classroom decorations/ displays appropriately.
Assist in maintaining classroom control in a positive manner.
Support the teacher in setting clear and positive limits and instructions to the students.
Deliver reports on potential concerns about students to the teacher in a prompt manner.
Address the students’ concerns in the classroom.
Ensure that Health and Safety Procedure is being adhered to at all times.
Ensure that children's hygienic need is being addressed immediately.
Ensure that students' materials/ belongings are correct and intact.
Support in the implementation of operating policies and program goals and relates them positively to Parents and visitors.
Attend all meetings and functions
Assist in the execution of activities that are fun and educational for students.
Understand the teacher’s routine when it comes to delivering lesson planned and runs the class in the event that the teacher is absent on a particular day
Support in managing day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunchtime and rest time for students.
Working Conditions
Possesses knowledge of proper childcare techniques and early childhood development theory.
Is capable of applying childhood development theory to everyday activities and curricula.
Possesses strong listening skills.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with young children.
Exhibits strong leadership skills.
Is able to think and act quickly in a crisis.
Possesses knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
Physical Requirments
Possesses physical and mental stamina required to oversee large numbers of young children on a daily basis.

Requirements
Bachelor's Diploma
Patience, Compassion, Organization, Communication.
Fluent English Literacy
1 Year of Early Childhood Experience
